A Reading Nook Right in the Heart of the Home<\/h2>

This cozy corner is boldly nestled between the kitchen and dining room, just off the living area. It’s practically at the center of the home\u2014which made the design all the more challenging. To create flow and cohesion, every element of the d\u00e9cor was chosen with care. The angled wall becomes a clever way to define the nook\u2019s boundaries and organize the furniture. While it helps separate the spaces, it also maintains a sense of harmony with the surrounding rooms.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A Nook with Undeniable Style<\/h2>

For the wall colour, the designer selected Edgecomb Gray HC-173 from the Benjamin Moore palette. A go-to neutral that opens up a world of possibilities when it comes to choosing furnishings and accessories. Eye-catching elements like the vases and cowhide rug immediately draw attention. The overall look blends beautifully with the kitchen, dining, and living areas\u2014a must when working in an open space.<\/p>

The furniture, in a mix of natural wood and aged white finishes, offers a harmonious blend of tones and styles. There\u2019s a clear design connection between the cowhide rug\u2019s white tones and the rest of the space. As for functionality, the two storage pieces help keep the area tidy. No open shelves here\u2014books are stored out of sight for a more refined feel. That\u2019s also why a minimalist side table sits next to the armchair. It\u2019s discreet, but still does the job.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Warm and Inviting Ceiling<\/h2>

Though modest in size, this reading nook boasts a stunning ceiling detail that instantly elevates the space. The warmth it adds is undeniable and, like all the decorative elements, it complements the room\u2019s overall mood. The inside of the wood coffers brings in plenty of light, painted in Steam AF-15 by Benjamin Moore. This soft white has a clean yet cozy vibe, and it beautifully highlights the ceiling\u2019s architectural features.<\/p>
